The game is initially free to download, however this means that in-game purchases play a big role. A few characters and a lot of locations are denied you unless you fork over the cash. Or more accurately the doughnuts. I wouldn’t have minded paying over a few dollars here and there to complete my Springfield, but EA want serious cash. If you want all the main locations (not including special fences, trees, etc, and no doughnuts spent on speeding up building and tasks) then you will have to fork out over $50!!
